Greg Bird from Kolbus UK joins Picon Council


olbus UK managing director, Greg Bird, has been elected to the Picon Council. The company provides machine sales, spares and technical support for packaging specialists, sheet plants, bookbinders, trade finishers plus conventional and digital printers throughout the UK and Ireland. Mr Bird says that the benefits of Picon membership include the support services, training grants, and access to political and financial experts which enable a company to make more informed decisions. Also, the ability to be part of a community of trust where open and transparent discussions can take place which is good for the industry and often results in shared best practices. He added, “Picon is more important than ever before. I want to ensure we fully understand what members want and encourage greater take-up of support, especially training grants. I would like Picon to grow, notably if there are sectors within the graphic arts industry that are not currently served.”
