Havwoods Announces New C-Suite Appointments
International wood flooring specialist Havwoods Ltd has announced the introduction of three senior C-Suite appointments to the company: Tony Lorenz, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Peter Jones, Global Chief Operating Officer and Andrew Barnes, Global Chief Finance Officer.
The new board-level roles have been conceived in a move to champion the global development of the brand, spearheading the company as it enters the next exciting phase of international expansion.
Tony Lorenz has been taken on board to create and implement a global brand strategy with a unifying purpose and culture, transforming the business to become a global force in flooring design.
Tony has 25 years of agency and client-side experience in the creation, management and implementation of brands, working for world-class organisations and a host of diverse clients of all shapes and sizes, across Asia, Europe, Middle East and North America. Tony’s claim to fame is working with Tom Byng (Founder) to create the Byron Hamburger brand.
Commenting on his appointment, Tony said: “I’m very privileged to be joining Havwoods at such an exciting phase in its development; it has amazing people, products and potential and now is the perfect moment to build a truly global brand.”
Andrew Barnes has moved over to Havwoods from the brand’s external accountancy firm, RSM, where he spent 17 years working for the global practice, seven of which were spent as lead partner providing advisory services to Havwoods. At Havwoods, Andrew will be responsible for its global sales strategy and setting / implementing the objectives for company growth and overseas expansion.
When asked about his new role, Andrew said: “I am delighted to join the Havwoods journey. Over the last few years, I have been fortunate to work with the company in an advisory capacity, during which time it’s become one of the fastest growing family businesses in Lancashire.
“As a born and bred Lancastrian, it is incredibly exciting to be involved in a local business that is making a significant impact globally and has ambitions to create an internationally known brand in the hardwood floor market.”

Peter Jones has been appointed as Global Chief Operating Officer to ensure that Havwoods continues to deliver its excellent products and service globally.
After ten years in the British Army, with active service in Iraq, Afghanistan and Northern Ireland, Peter studied an MBA at INSEAD business school in France. He has spent the last seven years in senior management roles at Morgan Stanley, Amazon, and Travis Perkins.
Peter commented: “I am delighted to join such a fantastic company at this exciting stage of international expansion. With the strong foundations of the excellent team, we will be able to build an innovative brand offering exquisite hardwood flooring tailored to our customers’ needs wherever they are in the world.”
