WHAT’S NEW? Principle Wins The Office

Group Contract Principle Cleaning Services has been awarded a new two-year cleaning services contract with The Office Group (TOG), a provider of flexible office space, meeting and co-working spaces.

Principle will provide daily cleaning, housekeeping, specialist cleaning and window cleaning as well as manage washroom, waste and recycling services. It is using its innovative technology to enhance quality and reduce costs.

Stanley Security Adopts

Digital Asset Mapping STANLEY Security, a UK-based specialist security provider, has adopted an innovative asset mapping technology to provide customers with more efficient system maintenance and servicing than ever before.

‘Connected Assets’ is an advanced digital asset mapping technology that enables STANLEY Security to quickly and easily map out an entire security system and all its individual elements. It allows for detailed additional information to be included, including images of equipment in situ.

The London-based cleaning specialist, which provides its services to some of the most famous landmark buildings in the Capital, was already a partner at a small number of TOG properties and has now added another 10 buildings to its portfolio as a result of this tender exercise.

Johan Marais, Contracts Manager at The Office Group, said: “Principle has fully embraced TOG culture since the first day of our partnership. The account team work hard to understand the unique and differing needs of all the buildings within the portfolio.”

Peter Smith, Managing Director of Principle Cleaning Services, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a forward-thinking organisation and are all committed to a long-term partnership with TOG.

“Principle is now the majority cleaning contractor for TOG who made this decision based on the excellent service at the buildings they already operated along with

Using Connected Assets, a visiting STANLEY engineer can now familiarise themselves with a customer’s security system before attending site and, whilst there, can quickly locate where specific items are that require servicing. For customers, Connected Assets means an engineer can be on and off site quicker than ever before, making for a more efficient service with minimal disruption.

For STANLEY Security it not only makes for happier customers, but also means STANLEY can make more efficient use of its resources. For example, with a complex site, rather than wait for an engineer

TOG is home to one of the most creative working communities in the UK for start-ups and small businesses as well as larger, more

who is familiar with that site and its system(s), any available engineer can now be sent fully loaded with the information they need to conduct that service visit.

Stephen Hodgkinson-Soto, STANLEY Security Service Director GB, said: “Most security companies use an asset register spreadsheet to detail an installed security system, but this is basic and limited in terms of what information you can include. In a digital world, this approach is out of date. Moving to Connected Assets enables us to add considerably more valuable information and our field engineers are using it to good effect. It’s working well for our customers, big and small, from a single newsagent to a large international airport.”

Whilst STANLEY Security is currently using Connected Assets to map static assets for its own service and maintenance contracts, Derek McLean, Head of Technology Solutions at STANLEY Security, sees an even wider use for it. He said: “Using Connected Assets for mapping customer’s security systems is the first step. We are looking at ways to further develop and use this innovative technology. For example, we are already combining it with asset utilisation.”

established organisations. Launched in 2003, TOG pioneered the concept of shared workspace in Britain. Today, it has over 15,000 members working across 33 buildings, 31 of which are in London, with more on the way.
