Where we service multi-tenanted buildings, the challenge we face is understanding what each individual tenant/department is generating. Due to this we are unable to assist in creating a long- term waste strategy that fundamentally changes occupier/user behaviour, while meeting client specific sustainability goals.

City & Essex was established in 1971 by Brian Hookway with the founding principle to “be the best commercial cleaning company and not run of the mill”.

We’ve taken the last year to scrutinise processes that have been in place for the past 50 years, and we have made some incredible changes to drive responsible action through every stage of the business, and for our clients.
To combat this, we have internally developed a new multi-lingual waste management system that weighs and logs waste for single/ multi-tenant buildings, giving managing agents the ability to manage and monitor each tenant’s waste, providing accountability to drive improvement.
Think Green enables the onsite team and Facilities Manager to oversee all waste operations in real-time via a secure web portal, view detailed waste reports and ultimately reveal environmental and cost reduction opportunities.
