Heating systems begin to corrode from the moment of installation as water reacts with the steel in components such as radiators. This leads to a build-up of magnetite (black sludge), a mud-like substance that is made up of an accumulation of fine ferrous particles of corrosion, on top of other elements such as limescale.
BoilerMag high-performance filters have been carefully engineered to provide lasting protection for larger heating and cooling systems. Powerful magnetic circuits combined with optimised fluid flow dynamics ensure that virtually every particle of magnetite (sludge) is removed on the first pass through the filter, thereby improving efficiency and protecting system components.
Ideal for medium-sized commercial, retail or large residential properties, the BoilerMag XL prevents the build-up of ferrous oxide and scale in central heating systems, reducing energy bills and increasing boiler life. Utilising BoilerMag’s highly effective dual flow technology, the BoilerMag XL ensures that virtually 100% of unwanted debris is removed from the system.
Blockages of the system can lead to problems such as damage to the boiler, damage to the radiators and issues with pipework that also comes with a huge increase in directly related costs, including increased maintenance costs, reduced heating efficiency and invalidation of boiler warranties. The associated costs such as loss of income due to a broken heating system could be bigger still.
With a non-block design, the XL can collect both ferrous and non- ferrous contamination from commercial heating systems. Fitting standard 1½” connections, its patented dual flow technology ensures water effectively filters twice on a single pass.
