Biophilic Design Service by phs Greenleaf

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT...

phs Greenleaf is harnessing the power of nature and creating built environments that positively influence the people using them - improving well-being, productivity and even sales.

phs Greenleaf has been providing planting and landscaping services to businesses for over 25 years and the company uses a concept known as biophilia to create feel-good spaces that deliver tangible results for its customers.

Company Profile

phs Greenleaf has been providing planting and landscaping services to businesses for over 25 years, including indoor and outdoor plants, artificial and live planting, living walls, grounds maintenance and Christmas trees and decorations.

Part of the phs Group, phs Greenleaf supplies over 8,000 customers in a range of sectors with high quality horticultural services, including hospitality and leisure venues, retail spaces, public buildings, commercial premises and even Buckingham Palace. phs Greenleaf holds a Royal Warrant – the mark of recognition for those who have supplied goods and services to the royal household for at least five years. Since 2010, phs Greenleaf has held a Royal Warrant for the installation and maintenance of plant displays in Buckingham Palace.

Studies show that humans feel an innate connection to nature. Being amongst plants and living things makes us feel calmer, more content and safer. The team at phs Greenleaf embrace this concept of biophilia when creating designs and products for their customers to help deliver more than just a great aesthetic.

The right use of plants, trees, and other natural materials in environments like offices, pubs, restaurants, hotels, banks and even retail spaces can deliver impressive results, including increased productivity, improved sales and dwell times, improved staff wellbeing and health, and increased staff recruitment and retention.

Research has shown that plants and biophilic features positively impact people’s perceptions of the friendliness, comfort, freshness, and cleanliness of an environment.

Studies show that plants encourage diners to spend longer in a restaurant, and visitors to spend more in shops and hotels. They also entice new customers. Offices have experienced a 15% increase in productivity when plants were introduced and posted fewer sick days than those in environments with no planting.

phs Greenleaf also uses biophilic design to help businesses deal with COVID measures, with a range of moveable cabinet planters, living walls and planting troughs to help maintain social distancing, provide directional aids and divide spaces without the need for garish signage.

The plants used provide better air quality too. As well as absorbing sound, reducing the need for occupants to raise their voice, they remove up to 87% of air toxins in 24 hours providing naturally cleaner, healthier air.

phs Greenleaf provides indoor and outdoor plants, artificial and live planting, living walls, grounds maintenance and Christmas trees and decorations to businesses across the UK.
