Centiel offers a complete containerised UPS solution which can be used both inside and outside buildings to deploy self-contained mini datacentres rapidly. Instead of incurring the significant cost of a new building, a 20-foot shipping container is converted and supplied as a secure UPS plant room.
No planning permission is necessary, and installation can occur quickly: in around a month, but in less than a week if necessary. Where space is a premium, a purpose-built shipping container can provide a complete customised solution.
Containers are robust, secure temporary structures which can easily be fenced off. Sitting the container close to the area which requires back up power is straightforward and reduces the cost of cabling. They can also be a great option to extend a comms room or put a facility in a remote or awkward location.
Even with modification, containers are significantly cheaper to purchase than to develop a brand-new building to house the required equipment. The air-conditioning needed is also less than for a heated building.
Centiel can provide a modular, front access UPS system with internal batteries in a small footprint to be flexibly deployed into the tight spaces of the container. Centiel’s modular UPS takes full advantage of floor to ceiling space. Centiel’s true modular UPS CumulusPower known for its industry leading availability of 99.9999999%, allows the inclusion of an input terminal to accept cables from above via steel wire armored (SWA) to utilise every inch of space. Bespoke battery rack design also ensures ease of access and maintenance.
A containerised UPS offers a pay-as-you-grow approach. Containers can be used like Lego blocks to expand as required. They offer a customisable, cost effective and rapid deployment of power protection.
