THE NEWS THE FIVE SECOND RULE A young Biology student from Aston University and a team of microbiologists have undertaken research to find out how long food is safe on the floor before it is attacked by bacteria like
E.Coli and S. Aureus. It was found that moist food was more likely to be infected after five seconds had passed. The least likely flooring surface to transfer bacteria was carpet, whereas laminate and tiles were the worst.

After leaving school he set up his own hardwood flooring company, and is now a millionaire thanks to multiple businesses the entrepreneur set up, including a dating site and an internet security company.
