Going autonomous Kärcher UK gives us more information on their robot scrubber dryer, the KIRA B 50.
Kärcher Professional’s technology-driven cleaning machine, KIRA B 50, stands as the brand’s first fully autonomous scrubber dryer.
Designed for medium and large floor areas, this compact cleaning solution delivers efficient time-saving capabilities, easy usage, robust safety features, worker flexibility and complete autonomy as needed.
The KIRA B 50 has many user-friendly functions, starting with its large touchscreen which has an intuitive menu and containing user instructions, multiple user profiles and various language options. To enhance KIRA B 50’s autonomy, the optional docking station enables it to refill its water tank, dispose of wastewater and recharge its battery without any manual intervention.
The KIRA B 50 robot also uses a reliable roller brush along with a side brush to clean near walls. It has a 55cm cleaning width, a strong 160 Ah lithium-ion battery, and can handle up to 15,000m² in a day. This technology consistently delivers great results, even on uneven floors, making tough cleaning jobs easier for staff to manage.
Additionally, the robot is well-suited for various sectors, with its ability to precisely pre-set the water volume, detergent dosing and cleaning speed, ensuring the cleaning can be deployed based on different requirements. This guarantees

a high level of cleaning quality, while simultaneously enabling workers across different sectors, such as transportation, retail, healthcare, public buildings and industrial settings (including production and manufacturing facilities) to complete alternative tasks at the same time.
The KIRA B 50 is capable of 360° detection of its surrounding areas, ensuring safety is paramount with its integrated laser scanners, 3D and ultrasonic sensors and a powerful on-board computer. It detects changes in its surroundings and initiates evasive manoeuvres, while the integrated light modules notify those nearby of the robot’s behaviour, such as turning or charging.
Kärcher also offers comprehensive service packages through KIRA Care and KIRA Care Plus, that include features such as web portal access, software updates and a functional guarantee, with trained and experienced service technicians on hand to support. The plus package even ensures an immediate machine replacement in the event of machine failure.
