As 2023 winds, we can look back at a year that’s seen many contrasting emotions for the cleaning and hygiene industry. One of the challenges many companies have faced since last year has been high prices, particularly energy and fuel, which has continued
throughout 2023. Although things have been a bit better here and there, it remains a huge concern for smaller businesses.
However, it has also been a very busy year in many ways, starting with the excellent London Cleaning Show back in March. It saw companies from around the UK and beyond come together for an incredibly successful event – probably the most
productive I’ve experience in the industry so far. Towards the end of summer we even got the brilliant news about the Cleaning Hygiene Operative Apprenticeship finally
getting approval, paving the way for a brighter future and creating a clearer career path for those joining the workforce.
