WASTE MANAGEMENT

to work together to expand the opportunities for business recycling and to streamline the process.”

Ensuring compliance and adapting

to change The volume of paper, tissue and other fibre-based waste that goes through the baling process at B-Sure Recycling is increasing every month. Customers are also more aware of changing legislation about waste and as such, compliance is also a service offered by B-Sure.

Ross said: “Recently, operations for the recycling or disposal of dispensers that include an electrical component are categorised as ‘hazardous WEEE waste’ and therefore we have adapted with a new recycling line for these dispensers. All WEEE waste dispensers are broken down systematically by separating all parts from motors, screws and LED screens, and are categorised and boxed.

“Recycling is complex and we can expect regulatory changes to continue, in particular for disposable or single use items. We ensure that our customers are compliant with all the regulations both in terms of administration and operations. This gives businesses peace of mind and the motivation to continue, or even expand its waste recycling where necessary.”

Bespoke recycling services for

Sustainable operations Despite only launching B-Sure Recycling in early 2023, the company has installed more machinery along its recycling lines. Ross commented: “As we adapt and progress, and as more businesses are aiming to be more sustainable, we are becoming a bespoke recycling service for many customers. In many cases what is waste can be down to interpretation – what one company decides is recyclable or reusable can be very different to another, which is another reason for industry to share and collaborate.

“Recently we have more customers wanting to recycle redundant stock, old machinery, devices and raw materials that would have previously been just put into a normal rubbish bin on the way to landfill.”

The B-Sure team take care of the whole process, enabling customers to focus on their own business, whilst ensuring their waste management targets are being met.

Ross highlighted: “B-Sure Recycling can enable customers to complete its waste circle, saving them money, time and inconvenience wIthin the manufacturing process.”
