COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY: WHAT'S NEW
Delphis launches laundry ‘Power’ powder
Delphis Eco, the UK’s leading eco-friendly cleaning products company which supplies innovative products to the commercial and retail markets, has launched its first highly effective, non-bio laundry ‘power’ powder product into the home domestic market.
Available in a 1.2kg recyclable tin, the Non-Bio Laundry Powder is specially formulated for incredible results, even at the very lowest temperatures. Its powerful cleaning action is tough on heavy stains, yet gentle on fabric, ensuring household laundry emerges crisp and bright with a deliciously fresh aroma.
Just like its commercial counterpart, this laundry product is free from optical brighteners and dyes, free from phosphate and phosphonate, is readily biodegradable and not tested on animals.
Linen milestone achieved
Specialist commercial linen cleaning company Regenex has reached its target milestone of successfully returning 1,000 tonnes of linen back to its customers.
Regenex’s patented multi-bath cleaning process is helping clients improve their green credentials while saving thousands of pounds, with customers no longer needing to purchase top-up stock as often. Having received 1,400 tonnes of dirty linen to date, the stain removal treatment has over a 70% success ratio, with the remaining 400 tonnes of material rejected due to rips and holes or as a result of residual staining. The remaining linen is sold on as premium rag to extend its life cycle just that bit further.
Technical Director Paul Hamilton commented: “We’re incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank our loyal client base. While the bulk of our business is with hospitality linen providers, we have also worked with NHS laundries, independent B&B chains as well as smaller, high- end industrial laundry providers. As of November 2023, Regenex has achieved over 50 tonnes of linen returned to

Delphis Eco’s CEO and Founder, Mark Jankovich, commented: “We launched our commercial laundry powder for professional users a few years ago, and now we are delighted to bring this product to the retail market for consumers to use at home.
“As well as being a fantastic product, which is also kind to the environment, it’s great value for shoppers at 30p per wash and giving consumers up to 60 washes for every 1.2kg tin. Additionally, the limited-edition tins which the laundry powder comes in is infinitely recyclable.”
Delphis Eco’s products are increasingly sought-after in the home as well as professional environments. Its products are extraordinarily powerful and effective – yet are plant- based, non-toxic and kind to the environment. Delphis Eco was the first UK manufacturer to achieve EU Ecolabel accreditation and currently has the greatest number of products with this certification.

three of its clients, with another client set to receive 100 tonnes successfully returned within the coming months.
“Since the formation of Regenex, the linen returned to our clients has predominantly been white hospitality and healthcare linen, but has also included workwear and some over-dyeing and topping up of table linen.”
On average, every tonne of linen processed by Regenex saves three tonnes of carbon and 5m litres of water — compared to a staggering 3,000 tonnes of carbon and 5bn litres of water that would have otherwise been used if the 1,000 tonnes of linen been replaced with brand new polycotton.
Paul continued: “As we continue to extend the life of our customers’ linen, we’re delighted to have reached such a milestone figure already, one which further proves our commitment to reducing textile waste, one tonne at a time.
“With over 80% of a textile’s carbon footprint resulting from its initial manufacture and transportation, the least we can do is attempt to use it for as long as possible — before considering the most ethical method of disposing or recycling it.”
