WASTE MANAGEMENT

The complete circular economy recycling solution

Here we learn more about B-Sure Recycling, the recycling solution for all business waste.

Leicestershire-based B-Sure Installations and its waste management company, B-Sure Recycling, help businesses reach mounting waste management targets by providing a complete collection and recycling service of all types of waste.

All waste, from cardboard and shrink-wrap to thrown out old hand towel and tissue dispensers and unwanted furniture, is collected and recycled at the B-Sure Recycling facility, which has invested in and installed two compactors and a high- tech granulator.

Ross Chambers, Managing Director of B-Sure Installations, explained: “How we manage waste is a huge environmental and business cleaning and hygiene concern for everyone across all sectors, from schools, manufacturing and industrial, to retail and healthcare. Reaching recycling targets through circular economy solutions is a significant part of environmental goals for companies today.

“We have invested in the technology and equipment to provide a full waste recycling service, enabling customers to achieve waste management goals and in doing so supporting cleaning and hygiene targets whilst saving them time, money and hassle.”

How waste is collated and collected

Customers are provided with containers, which when full up with waste are collected by the B-Sure team and transported back to its facilities in Leicester, where it is separated and then broken down for recycling.

Metal waste is collated, wood-based waste is broken down and separated, and plastic waste is granulated and bagged. The recycled materials are then provided to B-Sure partners who remanufacture it into new products such as mats, play areas, PVC windows, toys and many more new products. Some items such as office furniture, if they are in good condition, are refurbished or resized so that they can be reused, placing them back into the circular economy.

Dispensing of tissue and paper waste

For B-Sure Recycling, a huge part of its business is increasingly the recycling of paper waste, particularly washroom hand towels. Ross continued: “From our installations of hand towel dispensers and toilet tissue, we find the old units often have paper still in them. When we collect the dispensers, we separate out all the tissue products and bale them up and send it back in a return shipment to our key partners’ manufacturing facilities to be recycled into new tissue products.

“With the increase of fibre-based packaging preferred over plastic, we are finding more and more customers have cardboard and paper waste and they want to recover their fibres, by recycling the waste back into their operations.”

Through its links with the key manufacturers in the UK, B-Sure Recycling can provide other recycling companies with the best rebates. Ross added: “In the recycling sector we all share waste and the best ways to process it sustainably and economically. It's in all our best interests
