TRUTH REVEALED Kimberly-Clark Professional has launched a new website, inviting you to discover what it calls ‘The Disgusting Truth’ about jet air dryers.
With nearly 95% of adults not washing long enough to thoroughly clean the bacteria and viruses from their hands, the way you dry your hands becomes even more important.
According to independent scientific studies cited by Kimberly-Clark Professional, jet air dryers can increase the number of bacteria on fingers by 42% compared to drying hands with

paper towels, and can blow water droplets containing bacteria and viruses up to two metres into the surrounding environment for up to 15 minutes. More worryingly, jet air dryers dispersed 1300 times more viruses than drying with paper towels, and 70% of the viruses are spread at the height of a child’s face.

AWARDS WIN FOR
GREYLAND Commercial and industrial cleaning chemicals manufacturer Greyland has won the 2018 Caterbar Supplier Awards.
After being commended in both 2014 and 2015 within the Hygiene sector of the awards, they have finally risen to take overall winner in 2018, narrowly pipping commended suppliers Robert Scott and Holchem to the post.
The award, from one of the UK’s leading nationwide catering and bar equipment distributor groups, recognises the consistent quality of the Greyland service and delivery in supplying the member companies that make up the group.

SALISBURY SELECTED FOR £12BN
FRAMEWORK Salisbury Group has announced that it has been appointed to the UK government’s new RM3830 Facilities Management (FM) Marketplace Framework Contract.
In a competitive tender led by the Crown Commercial Service, Salisbury Workplace Services – part of the wider Salisbury Group – was awarded a place on both lots 1b and 1c. This means that it will be able to tender for the largest national FM contracts with total values of at least £7m.
Salisbury Group will seek to leverage its strong track record and service capabilities to win additional contracts in a new era of public sector FM
contracting. Tender opportunities through the new framework are expected to commence this year.
