Great expectations
SEKO’s warewash dosing system helps a top-class hotel meet quality requirements for their guests.
When a luxury European hotel offering wedding packages and fine dining needed to replace its warewash dosing system, a bespoke SEKO solution was chosen to maintain the kitchen’s impeccable standards.
The hotel’s excellent reputation, built up over 50 years, means that guests have heightened expectations for their dining experience which made a reliable, high-performance warewash dosing system a must.
After serving an automatic pot washing machine for three years, the existing detergent dosing system failed and engineers found that it was difficult to swap out for an identical replacement due to its connection being soldered to the PCB.
On top of this, the old unit had only one input voltage option, so it was therefore decided to upgrade detergent dosing to a new system that would offer simpler installation, along with additional operational benefits.
One of the client’s stipulations was that the dosing system selected must be able to cope with the aluminium-safe detergent they were using to protect catering pans and trays from pitting and damage, and to prevent aluminium transferring to food during cooking.
After carefully assessing the application and taking all requirements into account, contractor Evolution Hygiene recommended SEKO’s WareDose 35 detergent and rinse aid dosing system as the ideal solution. This dual-pump system features a powerful microprocessor to enable intuitive programming and user-friendly operation, housed within a robust IP65-grade for superior protection against water jets.
Meanwhile, WareDose 35’s premium-grade peristaltic tubing would provide precise, consistent dosing along with exceptional chemical compatibility to handle the aluminium- safe detergent without causing accelerated tube degradation.
When it came to installation, WareDose 35’s quick connection meant that the engineer was able to fit the unit quickly and without trouble, leaving the operator free to benefit from the system’s features, which include:

Probe check function to pause dosing in the event of detergent running dry.
• Multi-language programming menu for inclusive use. • Cyclic dosing option for periodic injection of detergent or rinse aid.
• Edgeless squeeze rollers for enhanced tube life.
Another example of a SEKO solution helping customers achieve long-term, cost-effective improvements in their daily operations.

New for 2022
SEKO’s WareDose 35 system has now been upgraded to include an integrated Wi-Fi hub, connecting users to the SekoWeb smartphone app and online portal for 24/7 wash data on demand and unprecedented application control.
This latest evolution of the WareDose range gives managers a complete view of their chemical cost and consumption, while the power to adjust dosing programmes on site, at home or on the move allows them to make immediate savings.
Plus, the ability to view system performance and health status remotely at any time means operators can identify servicing requirement and plan maintenance accordingly, avoiding unnecessary site visits while reducing costly unplanned downtime.
