Celebrating the best of the professional cleaning industry

As entries roll in for this year’s European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards, Michelle Marshall, Editor of ECJ and founder of the awards, explains why the big event is a brilliant opportunity for the sector, not just the finalists.

It has been an inspiring few months as entries for the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2023 flood in. From start-ups and innovators to the rising stars and industry leaders, there have been some fantastic nominations so far, and myself and my fellow judges certainly have our work cut out crafting our shortlist.

As the entry deadline approaches (if you haven’t already, don’t forget to get yours in before Friday 28 April), excitement mounts for the big event in Dublin this October. Hosted at The Round Room at The Mansion House, it’s set to be one of the highlights of the industry calendar and will see us crown our 2023 winners.

It’s always so brilliant to bring the sector together, to celebrate the achievements of our dedicated peers. Of course, the evening is about showcasing our finalists, and shining the spotlight on our 10 wonderful winners, but even if you don’t make the shortlist, or didn’t decide to enter this year, there are plenty of reasons to join us at our glittering awards evening.

Awards events are not just about winners: they’re a celebration of excellence and achievement and, while the finalists may be the ones who take home the trophies, everyone can benefit from attending such events. They’re a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge and expand your connections.

Here are just a few of the reasons to get involved: Be inspired

The room is full of success stories. Even if you’re not up for an award, this is your chance to take a look at what the rest of the industry is doing. Seeing the work of the finalists can motivate and challenge you to push yourself further. It can also be an opportunity to learn about new trends, technologies, and approaches that you can incorporate into your own work. From gaining insight into how to be more sustainable, to improving workplace diversity and training, you could get some real insight into best practice and come away with fresh ideas.

Team building

This isn’t just an event for those nominated for an award. Awards events provide the chance to celebrate with colleagues, friends and peers, in a relaxed and uplifting environment. Treating your staff to a night out at a high- profile industry dinner is a way of showing them that you value their hard work and contribution to the company. It’s an opportunity to reward them for their efforts and make them feel appreciated.

Networking

Our awards evening is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and make valuable connections. Each year we attract industry VIPs, business owners, and key decisionmakers, eager to connect with like-minded people. You can build relationships, exchange ideas, and get insights into the latest trends. By the end of the evening, you’ll have some great new contacts.

Supporting the sector

Coming along to the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards is great way to support the wider industry. By showing up, you’re demonstrating your commitment to your field, helping to raise its profile.

Finally, let us entertain you. This is not just an awards dinner, it’s an evening full of entertainment and music – with dancing until 2AM in one of Europe’s most lively cities. The awards ceremony and gala dinner will take place on Thursday 5 October at The Round Room at The Mansion House in Dublin.

We would love for you to join us on the night to recognise and celebrate the achievements of your industry peers. You can book tables, half tables or individual places. It promises to be a night to remember. To find out more, visit the website below.
