UhUb and Just One UK join forces

As awareness of the sustainability crisis deepens, the need for a change in behavior has never been more pressing.

Creating partnerships which help to deliver against the sustainability agenda play a key role in finding effective solutions. That’s why UhUb and Just One UK have come together to deliver a range of sustainability training to the UhUb community.

Just One UK, which already provides sustainability solutions for businesses across all sectors, aims to make sustainability simple and accessible with purpose-led, bespoke solutions for their clients. The partnership with UhUb, who offer the UK’s largest whole workforce online training platform to the cleaning industry, will see a range of lessons added to the platform.

These lessons will provide the UhUb community with general and specific information around sustainability, with information and guidance on how Just One can add value to their sustainability goals. There will also be tailored courses for companies and teams as they make their way through their Just One sustainability journey and plan for the future. The aim is to empower individuals, teams and companies to discuss, plan and act on sustainability with support from the Just One sustainability experts, both in and out of the workplace.

Stephen Goodall, MD at UhUb, has always considered a broader holistic training agenda to be the key to unlocking both employee motivation and delivering and maintaining effective standards within the cleaning industry. His philosophy is already supported by additional content, such as Diversity and Inclusion training offered through the UhUb platform and the Just One UK partnership helps take this a step further.

Excited by the partnership, Stephen said: “I am really pleased to be working with Dave Carlos and the Just One UK team on this great expansion to our offering that will promote and educate sustainability at all levels of a company. When Dave called to say he had an idea and explained what it was, my response was ‘Too right, let’s do that. Why wouldn't we?’

“I am looking forward to seeing where this collaboration will lead, as I know most UhUb Community clients are very focused on sustainability. They prove again and again they are forward thinkers who dedicate resource and time to developing real results across teams and services, and commit to change in all places where change is needed. They wouldn’t have ‘got’ or deployed UhUb if they weren’t.”

Recorra acquires Cliniclear

London and South East-based recycling company, Recorra, has announced the acquisition of Cliniclear, a specialist provider of waste management to the healthcare sector.

The acquisition will provide Recorra with a national capability in clinical waste management and will also expand the company’s presence along the South coast – expanding its Brighton and Hastings-based business.

Bill Swan, Managing Director of Recorra, said: “Targeted acquisitions, such as Cliniclear, are an important part of our wider growth plans. This purchase broadens our geographical coverage and adds significant specialist capabilities to Recorra.

“The acquisition comes on the back of experiencing an exceptional year of organic growth and being on track for our best ever results. Significant account wins in London, such as the Kings Cross estate and Battersea Power Station and many smaller new contracts means that more clients than ever are benefiting from our approach of delivering high quality Real Recycling.”
