Hello everyone and welcome to the latest
issue of Tomorrow’s FM. Isn’t it lovely to have a bit of sunshine here in the UK? It looks like Spring is finally on its way! However, that doesn’t mean we can pack up our computers and work outside unfortunately. So back in the office we come. This month, we are featuring Lighting and although the sun may be shining through the windows again, as a nation we are forgetting to turn our lights off after closing up shop. Is this an expense you can really afford?
Not far from this topic is Energy Management; a vital factor in every Facilities Managers role. We’ve got advice from npower and British Gas in this section so have a look to see if there is anything you could improve on.
Also this issue, we’ve taken a look at Customer Service & Telecommunications. It’s a well known fact that we are more likely to talk about a company after receiving bad service. Don’t let bad words spread about your facility or services. We’ve included how to deal with complaints by going back to basics.
Also in this issue we’ve featured Mailroom & Document Management and CAFM & IT as well as a preview of the upcoming Facilities Show in Birmingham.
And finally, this is will be my last issue as Editor, so if you’d like to get your news featured in the next issue, or if there is something you’re dying to read about next time, please feel free to call the office and let the team know.
Take care.
