Bostik presents the adhesive answer in the form of their Laybond Flooring Systems range.
The Laybond Flooring Systems range of adhesives from Bostik is well established and provides a comprehensive answer to all possible flooring installations.
With carpet as popular as ever L47 CV Carpet Adhesive is ideal for bonding most carpets as well as rigid and semi-flexible vinyl tiles and selected vinyl sheet. Trowel- applied, with excellent initial grab a 15L pack will cover between 45 and 55 m2.
If it’s a multipurpose adhesive that you require then L80 Multibond Gold should be the product of choice. An acrylic dispersion adhesive, with a slightly off- white appearance it is perfect for bonding most floor coverings to most common substrates. With a high degree of dry-film tack,

it is suitable for both carpets and vinyl and minimises the effects of plasticiser migration. It also meets the standards of the International Maritime Organisation and is approved for marine and off- shore use under the Maritime Directive MED / US Coast Guard USCG-EU MRA. Coverage is also good at between 40 and 50 m2 per 15kg tub.
For immediate trafficking L72 Multitack pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive is ideal when dry-laid. Solvent- free and non-staining L72 can be used for bonding both smooth-backed PVC sheet and tile (to BS3261 types A and B) to most substrates. As well as being used as a tackifier for underlays, it also bonds to impervious surfaces including metals.
L72 is available in 15L tubs and coverage will vary according to application.
If it is a solvent-free multipurpose adhesive you need then L73 Multycryl could be the solution. With high bond strength, high initial tack, and good resistance to plasticiser migration L73 is a versatile adhesive that will bond most floorcoverings to most common substrates. Available in 15L tubs, L73 will cover between 45 and 55 m2.
For release bonding of carpet tiles backed with PVC, polypropylene and bitumen with fibre backing to raised access floor panels and most common substrate then L79 Supertack is the product of choice. Solvent-
free and non-staining this polymer-dispersion adhesive facilitates the removal and replacement of carpet tiles without the need for more adhesive. Roller- applied and available in 5L, 15L, and 25L coverage is also excellent with the 5L pack size covering between 50 and 60 m2.
