The first impression on entering a building plays a crucial part in the overall effect on the visitor. Entrance areas therefore require an environment that combines a welcoming atmosphere with aesthetics and functionality. We offer individual, tailor-made dirt removal systems, based on our 3-zone cleaning system concept, that trap up to 90% of dirt and moisture as people walk across them. They make a significant contribution to a pleasant reception environment and long-lasting protection of the surrounding floor coverings, as well as to a significant reduction in cleaning work throughout the building. Entrance mat systems can be supplied with rounded or angled designs and cut-outs, according to the architectural and structural requirements. The wide range of colours makes it possible to create both harmonising and contrasting designs. To increase the exclusivity of the entrance area, a large number of additional components are available, such as a LED illuminated frame system, or a stainless-steel profile with a laser-engraved personalised name.

Coral and Nuway from Forbo are well proven entrance matting systems specifically designed to deliver high performance in intensely trafficked areas. Nuway engineered matting is used outside and immediately inside the entrance area to remove the worst of the wet and dry soil tracked in on soles of shoes and wheel treads. Three single-sided Nuway ranges are now offered in addition to the well established Nuway Tuftiguard collection of double-sided, reversible mats, custom-made to the customer’s individual specification. Coral is an exceptionally versatile range of BRE accredited textile ‘clean-off’ entrance products designed to provide superior moisture absorption and meet a wide range of application requirements. Coral and Nuway can be used together to provide a fully integrated, colour co-ordinated entrance system.

An important part of the wide choice of safety and other mattings is the popular Frontrunner Entrance Flooring System. The system includes Frontrunner Plus matting manufactured with absorbent inserts that scrape, clean and dry moisture from shoes within an open vinyl grid that sheds the dirt and prevents it entering the building. Other mattings in the range include Frontrunner Brush Wide, a new external matting for all-weather use with extra wide grid and nylon inserts which scrape and shed dirt, stone chippings, snow and ice; Frontrunner Brush with nylon brush inserts for areas with severe soiling; Frontrunner Entry, a 100% grid vinyl matting with an aggressive diamond tread pattern; Frontrunner XT with extra surface grip for external walkways and decking. Custom logos can also be incorporated. All the Frontrunner mattings can be trimmed easily on site to fit any shape, such as within revolving doors or irregular shaped matwells.
