When the beautiful oak flooring in Oxfordshire’s Notley Abbey needed a refurbishment, the perfect solution came from a company whose mission is to bring out the best in wooden floors.
The medieval country residence is a romantic and stylish wedding venue and the Traditional Flooring UK Ltd team had to work quickly to complete repairs and refinish the surface before the new season of weddings began. Notley Abbey is regularly used for both small and big weddings, with its grand stone Banqueting Hall able to seat 30-190 people and it is licensed to perform
the ceremonies both inside and out. With the notoriously unpredictable British weather, it’s inevitable that many couples will opt for an indoor wedding, so Bona Oil 90 was chosen to refinish the surface as it provides a unique, warm lustre to the surface which can be easily maintained by the Abbey’s housekeeping team. Bona Oil 90 is based on natural pine oil and is a low VOC, easy to
apply treatment which dries very quickly. An easy on- going regime of regular cleaning with Bona Soap and maintenance coats of Bona Oil 25 when required will extend the life of the surface and keep it looking good without having to re-sand.
Traditional Flooring UK Ltd was established in Liverpool in 1986 and is a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. The company has
a reputation for very high standards of workmanship and has refurbished the wooden floors in many of the city’s famous public buildings. They also work regularly for many national restaurant chains.
