South Thames College’s successful Centre for Employers and Enterprise based in Tooting, London is one of the country’s largest and best regarded training organisations for the cleaning industry. The College runs specialist courses ensuring new and existing cleaning operatives are equipped with all the skills they need in the workplace. South Thames can offer funding and free training in Cleaning and Support Service Skills and is now offering new qualifications such as Advanced Apprenticeships for Facilities Managers.
Candidates receive a QCF Certification which is similar to previous NVQ Cleaning qualifications. A number of industry focused modules are offered including Health and Safety, Storage of equipment, Hygiene in varying environments, Teamwork and Communication and Customer Care. The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS), Cleaning Professional Skills Suite units (CPSS) are offered.
