Welcome to the 2024 Buyers’ Guide issue of Lab Asia.
We are delighted to bring you the latest updates and developments from the laboratory industry. The analytica exhibition in April was a resounding success, featuring 1,066 exhibitors and welcoming 34,000 visitors from all corners of the globe. A signifi cant number of Asian manufacturers attended, eager to collaborate and expand operations in Europe, highlighting the industry’s potential for global partnerships. Similarly, the recently held Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL, running in parallel with Bio Asia Pacifi c and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL, attracted over 12,000 buyers and visitors over its three-day span, with 300 leading domestic and international entrepreneurs showcasing more than 500 top brands. Looking ahead, analytica Vietnam 2025 reports that 90% of its exhibition hall is already booked eight months in advance, promising to be the event’s largest and most successful edition yet.

We also celebrated a milestone at International Labmate, marking our 50th anniversary in style at the analytica exhibition. Our stand was among the most popular, as confi rmed by the lead retrieval service. Visitors joined us to subscribe, participate in our ‘Spin to Win’ competition, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at our stand, complete with refreshments. In August, we continued our anniversary celebrations with a company BBQ, featuring a live band, games, and entertainment for all staff, both past and present.
Our own exhibitions continue to be widely praised, not only for attracting visitors of the highest quality and quantity but also for being highly engaging and enjoyable. The Solutions in Science (SinS) event in 2023, jointly organised by International Labmate and leading scientifi c societies, received overwhelmingly positive feedback - 100% of participants rated it as excellent or good. The next SinS event will return from 15th-17th July 2025 in Brighton. WWEM ‘Water, Wastewater, Environmental Monitoring and Analysis’, co-located with AQE ‘The Air Quality & Emissions Show’ will take place at the NEC in October and promises to be our biggest event yet, with the highest number of exhibitors and the most comprehensive conference program to date.
For 50 years, International Labmate has been serving the laboratory industry, offering a reliable source of news, technological advancements, and insights. Our ongoing commitment to the scientifi c community is refl ected in the growing traffi c to our online platform and the strong engagement with our e-Bulletin, which reaches over 50,000 subscribers.
The Buyers’ Guide was originally published in 1976 and remains a comprehensive, topical, and invaluable resource for laboratory professionals. Renowned for its technical articles, the Buyers’ Guide extends past its theoretical 12-month lifespan as it continues to be referenced long into the future. With a readership of over 100,000 scientists, it is distributed free of charge to our entire circulation, and at major exhibitions and conferences, while also being fully duplicated online. Any company who sells laboratory equipment or supplies should be included.
