Next Generation Scale up Flash Purification CombiFlash Torrent®
systems from Teledyne ISCO provides the ease of use and high reliability of their CombiFlash and RediSep® development-scale platform. Packed with time-saving features and controlled by the company’s innovative PeakTrak®
product lines in a large, software, the CombiFlash Torrent
accommodates a broad range of injection, detection, and collection requirements. Choose from two models: CombiFlash Torrent for a combination of normal phase and reverse phase purifications, or CombiFlash Torrent AQ optimised for reverse phase.
Patented active solvent sensing technology monitors solvent supply and waste levels for true walk-away automation. Pressure and vapour sensors ensure safe operation by stopping the purification when pressure increases or a leak is detected. Fully grounded tubing allows safe operation at high flow rates. Optional air purging of the column after use simplifies disposal.
Tailor a system to meet your needs with a variety of sample introduction and fraction handling configurations.
Teledyne ISCO’s powerful yet intuitive PeakTrak software - the industry standard in flash chromatography - lets you quickly access and edit every method parameter from one screen. Request a quote:

New Chromatography Solutions for
Biopharmaceutical Applications
Fully Automated Sample Preparation System Accelerates Chromatography Workflows
The new Thermo Scientific EXTREVA ASE Accelerated Solvent Extractor is the first system to automatically extract and concentrate analytes of interest from solid and semi-solid samples, such as persistent organic pollutants (POPs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) or pesticides, in a single instrument, eliminating manual sample transfer for a walk-away sample-to-vial workflow.
The system is also the first to perform four sample extractions and concentrations in parallel, significantly improving sample throughput and laboratory productivity. With manual intervention significantly reduced by a factor of three, in some cases, results can be more accurate and reliable - allowing users more time to focus on value-added tasks. Analytical labs extracting from solid or semi-solid matrices can pair the sample prep instrument with gas chromatography (GC), GC-mass spectrometry (MS) or liquid chromatography (LC)-MS systems.
Pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies are facing major challenges today: rising costs in drug production as well as lower production volumes due to unpredictable demand. Sartorius has taken these requirements into account from the very beginning when developing its chromatography equipment to ensure optimum efficiency of development and manufacturing processes.
High-performance and low-pressure chromatography equipment that can be seamlessly integrated into any process due to their modularity and adaptability are the latest additions to the Sartorius chromatography portfolio.
Designed for the purification of peptides, oligonucleotides, insulin and other small molecules, Hipersep®
Flowdrive is a preparative
Prochrom HPLC chromatography columns meet high design standards, ensuring efficiency and scalability. Learn how to scale your purification process from analytical-sized columns to production-sized columns with Hipersep®
HPLC platform offering sophisticated, easy-to- use equipment with a unique, compact design controlled by the Hipersep® Hipersep®
SC software.
“Traditional sample preparation for chromatography with solid or semi-solid samples is labour-intensive, prone to errors and can stifle lab productivity,” said Dino Alfano, Vice President and General Manager, Ion Chromatography and Sample Preparation, Thermo Fisher Scientific. “Even with current automation solutions, the process can involve time-consuming manual navigation of multiple instruments. By seamlessly performing sample extraction and evaporation of four samples in parallel, the EXTREVA ASE system redefines this cumbersome workflow. Streamlining workflows allows our customers to reduce manual sample preparation steps from hours to minutes, thereby increasing their productivity, minimising errors, and dramatically reducing solvent use; ultimately helping them meet sustainability and cost goals.”
Matthew MacLennan, Director, LC/MS/MS DevOps, Pacific Rim Laboratories, said: “We are looking to innovate our processes with technologies that will enable us to extract the most difficult and complex matrices with ease. EXTREVA ASE does just that for our POPs extractions.”

New Switching Delivery Pump
FLOM, part of GL Sciences, has developed a new Switching Delivery Pump, the DP-11. This pump combines the best features of the FLOM pumps with the FLOM valves. Not only is it possible to disperse solvent from a single line over 5 different lines, it is also possible to collect solvent from the five different lines and extrude it through a single line. Using the proven linear drive results in improved flow stability and lower maintenance frequency. The pump is made from either ceramic or PCTFE wetted material to be able to cope with a wide range of chemicals.
The DP-11 features everything combined in the well-known compact FLOM design: does not use check valves; allows users to set your flows on multiple different paths; available in Ceramic or PCTFE wetted parts edition; high flow accuracy (+/- 1.0%) and repeatability (+/- 0.1% RSD); uses proven linear drive technology; superior reliability.

58424pr@reply-direct.com Stainless Steel Tubing Cutter
Properly cutting stainless steel tubing for HPLC can be very challenging. This wheel type cutter from MicroSolv Technology Corporation should be used to cut stainless-steel tubing used in non-critical connections. The wheel cutter is meant to score the metal tubing to break it. This ensures you will not close the inner diameter of the tube.
This cutter has a screw which is tightened to secure the tubing and can be adjusted for a range of different tubing diameters; 1/32” to 1/4”. Replacement cutter wheels are available to make sure your cutter is always kept sharp. Great addition to any service representative’s tool kit.
