Dear Reader
Welcome to the 2024 Buyers’ Guide issue of International Labmate.
We are delighted to share the latest updates and developments from the laboratory industry with our valued readers. The recently concluded analytica exhibition was a resounding success, attracting 1,066 exhibitors and 34,000 visitors from across the globe. Notably, the event showcased a strong presence of Asian manufacturers keen to work together productively and expand their operations in Europe. This international involvement shows how the laboratory industry is capable of building partnerships around the world.
International Labmate’s stand was well attended, as confi rmed by the lead retrieval service, which ranked it among the most visited stands at the show. Celebrating 50 years in publishing, visitors fl ocked to the stand to subscribe, enjoy refreshments at the bar, catch up with friends from the industry and participate in the popular ‘Spin to Win’ competition.
Our Solutions in Science (SinS) event in 2023, organised jointly by International Labmate, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the BMSS, ChromSoc, British Society for Nanomedicine, Institute of Physics Food Group, and Institute of Food Science Technology, was extremely well received, and served as a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and experts to exchange ideas, explore cutting-edge advancements, and encourage collaborations to drive scientifi c progress forward. Exhibitors and attendees alike gave the event a remarkable rating of 100% as excellent or good. The event will return in 2025 from 15th-17th July in Brighton.
Leading industry trends are the key themes of digitisation and sustainability. As laboratories manage the challenges of modern research, the integration of AI technologies has emerged as an essential strategy for accelerating scientifi c endeavours, optimising expenditure, and ensuring adherence to rigorous regulatory standards. Conversations within the scientifi c community are progressively centred on innovative solutions that cater to the demands of the digitally driven and environmentally conscious laboratory of tomorrow.
For fi ve decades, International Labmate has been serving the laboratory industry, providing unwavering support and fostering connections between research and industry scientists worldwide. With a history spanning 50 years, our commitment to delivering the latest news, advancements in technology, and innovative products remains stronger than ever.
The Buyers’ Guide was originally published in 1976 and remains a comprehensive, topical, and invaluable resource for laboratory professionals. Renowned for its technical articles, the Buyers’ Guide extends past its theoretical 12-month lifespan as it continues to be referenced long into the future. With a readership of over 100,000 scientists, it is distributed free of charge to our entire circulation, and at major exhibitions and conferences, while also being fully duplicated online. Any company who sells laboratory equipment or supplies should be included.
