Water / Wastewater 15 Flexible, durable and easy compact photometer and powder pillows

make the perfect combination for trouble-free and accurate water analysis MACHEREY-NAGEL’s renown and proven powder pillow reagents and their PF-12Plus photometer form the perfect partnership for reliable and precise water analysis. The combination is fl exible, durable and easy-to-use for optimal results in mobile and laboratory-based water and wastewater analysis.

The compact PF-12Plus photometer is tailor-made for mobile water analysis. It can evaluate MACHEREY NAGEL’s proven VISOCOLOR® new NANOCOLOR®

Powder Pillow tests, NANOCOLOR® tube tests and their ECO test kits. The PF-12Plus is already equipped with more than 100 pre-programmed methods and additional functions. Thanks to its ease of use, measurement results can

be produced within seconds. On the technical side, the compact PF-12Plus photometer impresses with its long battery life and fl exible power supply. As a unique aspect of MACHEREY-NAGEL photometers, the PF-12Plus photometer also features an integrated nephelometric turbidity (NTU) measurement function. An advantage of this measurement is the integrated NTU-Check function, which allows the detection of interfering turbidity with every powder pillow measurement – an unprecedented measurement safety in the fi eld of powder pillow reagents.

VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillows for chlorine and other parameters combine easy dosing of reagents with long-term stability. Every powder pillow contains the exact amount of reagent needed for a single

determination. Contamination of reagents is impossible therefore the shelf life of reagent kits is up to fi ve years. All necessary information for quality assurance, such as test name, LOT and expiry date is printed on every powder pillow to ensure to maximise measurement integrity. No scissors or spoon is required for opening and dosing the powder pillow reagents directly into the test tubes which facilitates maximum measurement-convenience for mobile and laboratory-based water analysis. The compact PF-12Plus photometer is the perfect companion for VISOCOLOR®

accordance to IP 68 and withstands vibration tests according to Military Standard 810C (test specifi cation 514.2). This underlines the robustness of the device and confi rms its suitability for mobile analysis. VISOCOLOR®

Powder Pillows are available for many

different parameters, which are important in drinking water, wastewater and water analysis in general. The parameters available are: ammonium, chlorine free, chlorine total, iron, nitrate, nitrite, ozone, silica, sulphate, pH and phosphate. All VISOCOLOR®

Pillow parameters are pre-programmed on the PF- 12PLus photometer. All methods have pre-stored blank values and therefore do not require a blank measurement, which saves time and effort.

Easy to understand pictograms and written instructions in six different languages are available for all powder pillow parameters. The compact photometer PF-12Plus is mainly icon-based and therefore does not require intensive training.

55763pr@reply-direct.com LeveLine water level loggers offer outstanding performance Powder

at a competitive price with a 5 year warranty The LeveLine range of water level and temperature sensors was launched by Aquaread in 2014. Within the last four years the range has seen huge successes both in the UK and overseas and has been used by both private customers and various governments to provide accurate and reliable data over a number of years.

The range started with an entry level version called the LeveLine-ECO, made from stainless steel and a high-end version simply called ‘LeveLine’ that was made from high quality titanium. In 2016 Aquaread proudly announced that the complete range would be made from titanium, dropping the LeveLine-ECO from the range. A new entry to the range was launched the LeveLine-MINI, a smaller unit designed solely for use with telemetry systems or third party dataloggers.

In 2017 the latest addition to the range was launched. The LeveLine-CTD was introduced, capable of measuring a water level, conductivity, salinity and temperature. In addition the LeveLine-MINI-CTD was also rolled out aimed at the telemetric market.

The current LeveLine range includes the LeveLine, LeveLine-CTD, LeveLine-MINI and LeveLine-MINI-CTD. All units are made from high grade titanium providing maximum corrosion resistance in all applications. In addition each logger is available either as absolute (non-vented) or gauge (vented) depending on user requirements making the range very fl exible.

LeveLine and LeveLine-CTD both come with 5 year warranty, thanks to its track record of reliability and offer a 10 year battery life. Batteries can be replaced once they have expired, these are not throw away items. A huge 500,000 data point memory is a standard feature of the LeveLine and LeveLine-CTD; operators can log up to 10 times per second on the LeveLine. This range of instruments is SDI-12/RS 485 compatible and they all have the ability to embed the GPS coordinates of each LeveLine and LeveLine-CTD into the data set when used with the LeveLine GPS meter. Operators can also download data from multiple LeveLine’s onto one LeveLine GPS meter. Despite all of these features, this range is very competitively priced and capable of out-performing many, more costly, water level loggers.

Solinst Canada Ltd. has introduced a new addition to their groundwater samplers product line – the Model 415 12V Submersible Pump provides an effi cient means of purging and obtaining groundwater samples from 2” OD monitoring wells.

The 12V submersible pump and 12V pump controller are lightweight, portable, and easy to set up, deploy and operate. The pump’s sleek, short design (nominal 6”) ensures it fi ts easily down wells that might not be straight.

The 12V submersible pump cable connects to the 12V pump controller, which then clips to a 12V power source, such as a 60 amp AGM battery or higher, or a car, truck or marine battery. Simply turn the dial on the 12V pump controller to increase the voltage to the controller, which turns the pump’s motor faster and increases the fl ow rate.

The Solinst 12V Submersible Pump is capable of pumping groundwater from 36.5 m (120 ft.) below ground surface, with fl ow rates up to 13.5 L/min (3.6 US gpm) in shallow conditions. The continuous fl ow rate is very easy to adjust using the 12V pump controller’s single dial.

Save time and reduce sampling costs by connecting a new Model 800M Mini Packer to the 12V submersible pump intake. This will isolate your sampling zone and minimise purge volumes.

The Solinst 12V Submersible Pump is ideal when sampling using three volume purge protocols or performing constant head tests in high K (hydraulic conductivity environments). For use in environments with high suspended solids, an optional in-line disposable fi lter threads onto the pump’s intake.
