www.casellasolutions.com An ideal solution for ambient

and indoor air monitoring Eco Physics’ nCLD AL2 is the ideal instrument for ambient air monitoring, either installed in racks, at fi xed monitoring stations or in mobile laboratories. This analyser is also suitable for indoor air quality monitoring for instance in production plants and offi ces (TLV = threshold limit value). The nCLD AL2 is a two-channel NOX-detector based on a modular principle. The measurement ranges are individually adjustable within 50’000ppb at a minimum detectable concentration of 0.4ppb. The parameters NO, NO2

and NOX

are measured and displayed simultaneously. All of the nCLD AL2’s

essential components within the chemiluminescence analyser host their own CPU, which reports all data to the mainframe by BUS-communication. The measurement principle will conform to the standard method for NOX-detection in ambient air and complies with TUV-regulation (VDI4202 block 1, ISO/EN.14211).

New Modbus RTU communication capabilities brings renown sample gas cooler into the digital age

Instrumentation technicians analysing environmental parameters or for process safety and optimisation rely on robust and dependable communication between the fi eld devices (such as the sensors and analysers) and the control system to keep their operation running smoothly.

Until now, the TC-MINI sample gas cooler, from Buehler, has operated with the globally recognised 4-20 mA analogue protocol of communication, as well as potential-free status output. However, this sample gas cooler now features the Modbus RTU communication protocol to cater for the rapid digitalisation of industry. The system is connected through an RS485, 2-wire interface, giving the operator access to process and diagnostic data and the capability to control the devices’ confi guration through the Modbus RTU protocol. The new sample gas cooler also allows access to operation hour outputs and controller utilisation.

The TC-MINI sample gas cooler is ideal for deployment in the most portable or compact gas conditioning systems thanks to its small size. This unit may not be big in size but it has high nominal power and is perfect for use in warm climates.

The TC-MINI’s new digital communication and functions enables direct access to process and diagnostic data and operators can easily set or reset parameters during operation. The current cooling block temperature can be read out easily while operators can confi gure menus settings remotely – for example cooling block set-point and activating or deactivating the gas pumps. Users can now monitor output of controller utilisation, as a percentage, to evaluate performance in cooler conditions as well as the operating hour outputs to ensure the least disruption from maintenance intervals.

This additional new digital option only adds 35 Euros to the cost of the sample gas cooler – a small price for effi cient digitalisation and the extra capabilities it has to offer.

The option “Digital output Modbus RTU” is now available for the sample gas coolers TC-MINI with a surcharge to the device of only 35,00. The ordering information and other useful information can be found on the product page and in the data sheet.
