WWEM Preview - UK Focus Non-refillable Cylinders Available now from Air Products
Air Products (WWEM Stand 2) is expanding its supply of disposable, non-refillable cylinders to provide a more convenient gas product for use in gas analysis. Non-refillable cylinders for low volume applications allow gas users to avoid rental charges when using smaller volumes of gas and benefit from speedy delivery of a wide range of standardised mixtures.
The International Safety Equipment Association recommends that gas detection equipment should be ‘bump’ tested prior to each day of use or before each confined space entry in order to check that sensors and alarms are operating properly. Stable non-refillable gas products that come with a Certificate of Analysis are ideal for this purpose.
Gary Yates, Air Products’ European Product Manager Analytical and Laboratories, said: “When it comes to gas detection in areas like personal safety and plant protection, access to stable gas mixtures at short notice is essential and laboratory analysts are demanding a high standard of service from their gas supplier.”

ISCO New “Non- Contact Flow Technology” at WWEM 2012 Exhibition
RS Hydro Ltd (stands 78 & 79) will be exhibiting a selection of its latest monitoring instrumentation at Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) 2012 on the 7th and 8th November at The International Centre, Telford.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see the impressive new non-contact flow meter technology in action on a flow-rig. The use of this flow technology is a world-first and will provide unrivalled accuracy and performance for open channel flow measurement. Using a specially adapted flow-rig, visitors will be able to see how the new technology works without touching the water and its accuracy in the channel.
To date MCERTS discharge monitoring applications have had to be based on expensive hydraulic flume installations or using contact area velocity flow meters for measuring such applications. Area velocity flow meters struggle to meet the MCERTS requirements and are also in contact with the liquid itself, thus subjected to wear and tear. The non-contact technology has no moving parts and can be installed very quickly.
The new flow meter can be installed as part of a portable or permanent flow monitoring system and can easily be connected to any wireless telemetry system using a variety of protocols and signals. It uses minimal power and as such can be deployed for long periods of time.

Also on display will be a range of flow meters, level, water quality instruments, automatic water samplers and wireless telemetry systems.
