vi UK Focus - WWEM Preview Overseas Buyers Invited to WWEM 2012


Garry Poole from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has confirmed that key overseas contacts have been invited to WWEM 2012 (Telford, UK on 7th & 8th November 2012), and a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event will be run on the 8th November, providing visitors with an opportunity to hold face to face meetings with potential clients.


The overseas invitations have been issued to individuals and organisations in Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Turkey. Garry says “The delegates from these markets will be expected to be in a position to make decisions about purchasing goods and services, and a registration website will be set up so that UK company representatives can book meetings in advance.” www.meetbuyersatwwem.ukti.gov.uk


With 2,400 staff and a presence in 96 countries, UKTI helps businesses to grow internationally and experts will be available near the entrance to the WWEM 2012 exhibition on both days of the event.

New Technologies in Almost Every Area of Hydrometeorology Launched at WWEM


OTT Hydrometry will unveil a new groundwater monitor, a new portable flow meter and a new range of dataloggers at WWEM 2012. OTT MD Simon Wills says “This will be a very exciting event because we will be launching new technologies in almost every area of hydrometeorology.”


OTT’s stand (No. 105) will feature the ‘OTT netDL’ (internet datalogger) series, which have been designed to improve remote monitoring by making communications easier, more reliable and less expensive. Discharge monitoring will be a major theme, with the new OTT MF Pro electromagnetic current meter offering an alternative to propeller and ADC meters. New technology will also be on show for groundwater monitoring including the new ecoLog 500 and the ecoLog 800 (CTD).


OTT will also run a Workshop entitled: “Using Technology to improve groundwater data quality” which will feature some of the new technologies that will be launched at the event.
