Advertisers Index ATEX Certified TVOC for Zone 2 Areas Without Safety Barriers Ion Science (UK) introduces the ATEX approved 3 wire TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound) monitor, for use without safety barriers in Zone 2 hazardous areas.

The ATEX certified TVOC can be installed without barriers in a Zone 2 area, to directly replace an existing VOC area monitor. A significant benefit to the customer is the instrument’s easy installation; saving time and reducing costs.

TVOC is also available as an IECEx and ATEX approved 4 wire option for zone 1 areas, with safety barriers. Designed for fixed, continuous area monitoring, TVOC provides rapid, accurate detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The 4-20mA analogue output allows TVOC to be integrated into a DCS control system to give warning or control of high VOC levels within the working environment.

The TVOC photoionisation detection (PID) cell utilises patented Fence Electrode Technology; independently verified as the best performing PID on the market. Its proven PID capabilities provide an unrivalled resistance to humidity and give faster, more consistent results than competing PID instruments. TVOC has been designed for simple servicing and calibration. The PID sensor is accessible and changeable in a matter of seconds.

Target industries and applications for TVOC include; manufacturing and processing plants, refineries, petrochemical, offshore, chemical, waste water treatment, pharmaceutical, indoor air quality, pulp and paper, solvent recovery systems and industrial painting and coating. TVOC is available from Ion Science and its global network of distributors, along with an exclusive range of accessories.

Automatic Isokinetic System ISOPLUS

Zambelli (Italy) offers a versatile automatic isokinetic station called ISOPLUS for emissions monitoring. ISOPLUS meets the international requirements on emission sampling: ISO 9096, UNI EN 13284 and UNI EN 10169.

The ISOPLUS can measure simultaneously and in real time the isokinetic conditions of stacks and ducts with different sections and dimensions. It automatically and continuously updates the flow rate allowing the reduction of errors during the sampling. Connected to an isokinetic probe, the system works automatically.

ISOPLUS allows the operator to achieve, with high accuracy, the main targets of an isokinetic sampling such as: Quantify a particular pollutant and checking the process; Verify the compliance of the emission limits; Verify the efficiency and the proper functioning of the elimination system; Identify possible corrective interventions and Calculation of dispertion or fallout.

This instrument can be used not only for isokinetic samplings but also for constant flow rate samplings. Thanks to this function, it will be possible for the instrument to manage a streamline (for example: UNI EN 1911 –HCI determination) sampling together dust, gas and vapours. What is more easy?
