New COSMOCORE Core-Shell Columns Nacalai Tesque has launched 2.6COSMOCORE C18, a polymerically bonded octadecyl core-shell particle column. COSMOCORE core-shell columns have an overall particle size of 2.6 micron, and feature a 0.5 micron porous shell which surrounds a solid 1.6 micron core. They offer high performance when used with conventional HPLC equipment and offer approximately the equivalent number of theoretical plates as a sub-2 micron column but at approximately half the back pressure. These columns have good pH stability between 1.5 and 10 and good lot-to-lot reproducibility.
COSMOCORE C18 core-shell columns also offer increased loading capacity, an advantage when analysing trace components and injection volumes need to be increased. A six-page brochure and an application sheet are available.
