Development Adviser, Malcolm Duncan, the session is clear and easy to follow, with a practical walkthrough of each
step of the process, including:
●Determining the load of the circuit ●Selecting the protective device ●Determining the maximum disconnection time
●Selecting the cable and applying any correction factors
●Checking the voltage drop ●Checking the shock protection and thermal constraints ●Providing client advice
As part of the process, the video also breaks down a number of calculations piece by piece –
including the Adiabatic equation – to ensure viewers are familiar with every aspect of cable sizing.
