Digital portal keeps things simple


Selected ECS Card applications can now be made online after the Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) launched its dedicated digital portal.


Phase 1 of the new service means cards can now be applied for, renewed and upgraded online in the following specialist areas: ●Electrotechnical – Electrician, Approved Electrician, Technician Electrician, Electrical Labourer and Operative ●ECS Related Discipline – Field Engineer, Equipment Installer, Aerial and Satellite Engineer and Control Systems Engineer ●Management – ECS Site Support, ECS Manager including Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Contract Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager and Contract Manager. Using the portal is quick and easy, with applicants guided through a simple step-by-step process, which includes uploading certifi cates and paying the relevant fee. The SJIB is currently fi ne-tuning the service to enable online access to training records and ECS Card
