WHAT DOES YOUR ORGANISATION DO? We provide a variety of services supporting warehouse operational teams to maintain a safe working environment. As well as offering expertise and advisory services we offer training for forklift and warehouse equipment, racking safety, spills and incidents, first aid and fire marshall to name a few, alongside help with purchasing equipment.
HOW DID IT ALL START? Almost 30 years ago while working in forklift sales and hire, we recognised a gap in the market for forklift training. When we started our company, we were really at the forefront of the industry as training wasn’t statutory then like it is today.
WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR? Without a doubt, our customer relationships. It means a lot to be recognised for making a difference for our clients. We are proud to be helping and have helped among others HMP prisoners, the UK’s Border Force, Camelot lottery Group and other high-profile names such as Alpro, Specsavers, Ikea.
WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT? Excitement when we recognise new opportunities and areas where we can support our customers. However, like everyone in 2020, we have worries for our country and the economy at the moment.
WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST IN YOUR JOB? How often people over complicate sales. Customers relate and respond to open, honest conversation, it doesn’t always even have to be product related.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE STARTING OUT? Be focused, be honest and be yourself and people will want to deal with you.
WHICH BUSINESS PERSON DO YOU MOST ADMIRE? There are a lot of business colleagues and friends who I admire for never giving up in these challenging times.
WHAT EXCITING PROJECTS IS YOUR ORGANISATION WORKING ON? Our partnership with SpaceVac International as its Midlands Distributors. It’s a perfect fit for us, working with clients on their warehouse premises when hygiene is at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
WHAT MADE YOU JOIN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE CHAMBER AND HOW ARE YOU MAKING USE OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP? I understood it to be very supportive and now many of my ‘outside of Pegasus’ colleagues are Chamber members from networking and collaborations. I feel I belong.
