Page 26 "Heroes Unite" at the 2020 Northeast Florida Fair

On behalf of the Northeast Florida Fair Association we welcome you to the 2020 Northeast Florida Fair that will be held October 8-18 at the fairgrounds in Callahan, Florida. Our 2020 fair theme will be "Heroes Unite." We are busy planning a

fun filled event. There will be lots of exciting things for the young and the young at heart to do and see. There will be many promotions that will fit any budget and we will have en- tertainment that will be fun for the whole family. A full list of promotions and schedule of events will be available on our website closer to fair time. We are happy to have Hypnotist Ron Diamond and Nick's

Kid Show returning this year. They are always a crowd favor- ite. Sunshine Monkey Shines will also return as part of our daily entertainment. We will have a variety of local entertain- ment including performances by the marching bands from local high schools. Hildebrand Rides will return as our midway provider. They

are planning an exciting lineup of rides and games for all to enjoy. We are in the process of planning vendors, some re- turning, some new. Our vendors offer the best traditional fair food, along with other items that you can only get at the fair. We take pride in our youth livestock program. Throughout the fair there will be livestock shows with beef and dairy cat-

Disclaimer for Unforeseen Cancellation of 2020 Fair The Covid-19 pan- demic has taught us all that it is possible for businesses to be shut down by the Government due to unforeseen causes. While it is the intent of the Northeast Florida Fair Association to host the 2020 Fair in October, we must acknowledge the possibility that another pandemic or other event could cause the Federal, State or County Government to declare a state of emergency that prohibits us from doing so. In the event that the 2020 Fair is cancelled, all vendor and exhibitor deposits will be refunded in a timely manner. Market Sale Exhibitors (and their guardians) must realize the possibility of our fair being cancelled. Should circumstances dictate, the Northeast Florida Fair will conduct our sale via internet. The Florida Federation of Fairs has given us guid-

tle, swine, horses, sheep, goats, poultry and rabbits. Our fair is proud to host the annual market show and sale that in- cludes steers, swine and lambs. Youth from around the state will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of judg- ing contests. This year we are thrilled to offer the Hay Bale and Pallet Decorating Contests. The hay bales and pallets will be beautifully decorated by 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters and will placed throughout the grounds for all to see. We value youth and are proud of their involvement in the fair. Make plans now to come join us as we will celebrate 73 years of the Northeast Florida Fair. We are making plans now so continue to watch our website for more information, www.neflfair.org.
