St. Lucie County Fair Wow what a year we all have had
February 26th thru March 7, 2021
(and are going to have) with the vi- rus. The St. Lucie County Fair was one of the early fairs and we were BLESSED to be able have ours…..and believe me our hearts ache for those that were unable to! The St. Lucie County Fair was a good one, however we did see a drop in attendance the last couple of days when the virus was
becoming a big topic. This was my last fair as general manager as I am retiring this year. So I guess I can certainly say my last was a mem-
orable one! We were very lucky to easily find a replacement, her name is Christine Iannotti, (you “met” her the Spring newsletter) hailing originally from outside of Albany, New York and a resident of St. Lucie County for the last 14 years. Her previous employment was with non-profits and also did much volunteering on the side too. I am able to work with her to learn the “fair business” for the next year or so. We were so looking forward to introducing her at convention, so hopefully we can do that at summer workshop. I am and have been very proud to a part of the St. Lucie County Fair but even more proud to have been a part of the
Florida Federation of Fairs. We are a unique group of people who’s focus is the success of us ALL!! Looking forward to introducing Christine to you all and MORE looking forward to visiting some fall fairs!! Let’s hope
and pray that will happen. Thanks to all who were able to attend my retirement
party...it was a surprise as who would plan a party on a Saturday
afternoon during a fair!! My deepest gratitude to you all for not only your knowledge but your friendships that will last a lifetime!! See you in September!!...umm could be good words to a song…Jeanne
