A Lottery-funded organisation which supports schoolgirls in Birmingham is seeking volunteers to help distribute its ‘Cherished Care’ packs The organisation is Cherished, which supports girls in 35 primary

and secondary school via a mentoring programme. The packs contain a range of items, including gifts, recipes and games. Cherished chief executive Hannah Borg said: “Cherished is a non-

profit organisation providing attachment focused support for girls in primary and secondary schools across Birmingham. “Our groundbreaking self-esteem workshops and mentoring schemes are committed to nurturing, empowering and developing the true potential of young girls. “The Cherished team are working incredibly hard to create and send

out Cherished Care packs. We are absolutely swamped with orders and interest and I am asking for some help.” The organisation says it needs help to create and source ideas for

the packs, make certain items to go in them, such as masks, and also to spread the word about them in the first place. She added: “Thank you to all those who have helped so far. I

imagine we will be sending potentially 300+ packs per month so we need so much support and help.”

Team-building and life-skills company Escape Live has introduced an online version of its puzzles, which usually involve teams working together to solve clues and ‘escape’ from a room. The company, which has a site in Birmingham, has had to temporarily close due to Covid-19, but hopes its online ‘Escape Room’ will fill the void. The puzzle is played by teams using the Zoom video conferencing software.
