The set closer “Kentucky Moonshine” has a real old school feel. Top of the line songwriting, absolute
perfection on their instruments and totally professional producing by Dedier himself, make this one of the finest European releases of the year. Good stuff.

Abilene Take No Prisoners Rock ‘n’ Roll (Abilene) The latest project from
French renaissance man Di- dier Cere comes from his
rocking five-piece band called Abilene. Once again, most of the vocals are delivered in French, and once again, it doesn’t take away from the fact that these boys know how to rock out at full-tilt-boogie volume with the bombastic attack of a B-52 bomber. The set kicks off in fifth-gear with “Le Rade Des Zom- bies “Radiation Ranch,” and after you pick up your head from the floor and put it back onto your shoulders, the boys swagger through Eddie Cochran’s classic “Summertime Blues,” filtered through a wall of smoke and fire, and sung in both English and French. Oui. It is good!
Malaise a Nogales “You’ll Know Better”
sounds like The Cars blended with Van Halen. Totally unique and different. The guys stand and deliver on the
metal classic, “Cum On Feel the Noize” fol- lowed by a reading of the Judas Priest tune “Race with the Devil” and Motorhead’s “Bomber.” And the band pull off a nice cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” The band pulls off an apt cover of Billy
Lee Riley’s 1950’s rockabilly classic, “Red Hot.” Smokin.’And in English. The set closer is the unabashed party song, “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” by the Georgia Satellites. It’s a great way to wrap up one seriously rock-
ing album. Buffalo says “check ‘em out!” -Michael Buffalo Smith
Will Eason Fade (Will Eason) Will Eason is a hidden gem
living in Great Britain. The young man is a musical prodigy. A top-notch song-
writer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, he plays all of the instruments on his latest album, Fade. Eason is an amazing guitarist and keyboard wizard, and this all-instrumen- tal album proves the fact. Sometimes the music takes on a sound
reminiscent of the Dixie Dreggs or Sea Level, while at other times it moves into even more of a jazz vibe, like a Larry Carlton or George Benson. This is the kind of CD that makes me want to roll down the windows of my car, turn up the music and just ride, maybe up to the mountains. Relaxing. F
rom the Allman Brothers inspired
“Fountain” to the funky rocking “Roadrun- ner,” every song is a winner. Absolute perfec- tion.

Ben Rice & RB Stone Out of the Box (Middle Mountain Music) Out of the Box, a
cigar box guitar project by Ben Rice and RB Stone caught my attention in a
magnificent way. Rice and Stone have writ- ten eleven original blues tracks which they perform using an assortment of cigar box gui- tars comprised of 6 and 4 string Washboards,
