Netflix continues to dominate my TV time. Not completely, mind you, but yeah, they keep programming really fresh, cool shows, original movies, music content and so much more, how can I turn away? Not to mention, all that’s been on the networks has been Coronovirus news. I finished season two of Lost in Space. Yes, I know, I was spouting off in the past about how I lost interest after season one. I was wrong. I must have been having my monthly when I wrote that. After picking it back up, I once again enjoyed the adventures of the Space family Robinson. Great family interaction, drama, tons of ac- tion. Once again, my space cap is off to Parker Posey and he portrayal of the self-serving trickster Dr. Smith. She’s come a long way since I first saw her as Darla in the 1993 com- edy Dazed and Confused. (A movie that nailedmy high school days. It takes place in ’76, the year I graduated. Their mascot, like mine, was the “Rebels.” And I recognized half of the characters as my friends!) The next time I really paid attention to Ms. Posey she was an evil, but pretty sexy vampire named Danica in Blade Trinity in 2004. A truly out- standing role in a great movie. I loved all three Blade movies with Wesley Snipes!). . . Again. I was blown away by the first season of The Outsider, based on the outstanding novel by Stephen King. The HBO folks did a fine job of casting. I loved the novel, and the TV show was very close to the book . . .Speak- ing of King, his son, Joe Hill, is an equally amazing writer. His graphic novel series Locke & Key has made for a very good TV horror show. We can only hope they continue into future seasons. . . Dan Rather’s “The Big Interview” on AXS TV is at the very top of my list of great TV programming. Rather’s style is unbeatable, and with every interview subject I feel like I know them so much better after this show. From Sammy Hager to Gregg
couch potato Rhea Seehorn and Bob Odenkirk of Better Call Saul.
Allman, Dickey Betts, Doug Gray, Geddy Lee, Roger Waters, Robert Plant, Billy Bob Thorn- ton . . . every interview is excellent. . . I was so happy to see Better Call Saul return after two year break. The spinoff of Breaking Bad just gets better and better. The season just wrapped up and was their best yet. . .The Walking Dead season ten has been quite a thrill ride, with Alpha losing her head and Negan working in concert with Carol. We are all excited to see the final season of the episode, and the return of Maggie, but again the virus set back production and we are being forced to wait. I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Also looking forward to the return of Fear the Walking Dead this summer and discovering Morgan’s fate. And if you want even more zombies, the third series The World Beyond also premieres this year.
