At the time of contacting your HTB provider you will need to know your legal representative details, so speak to them in advance to confirm any fees before you pay any application fees to your HTB provider/mortgage lender. This will ensure that you have calculated all the


relevant costs.


AUTHORITY TO EXCHANGE AND AUTHORITY TO COMPLETE If you are selling your property and redeeming the HTB Equity Loan on completion of your sale, your legal representative will have to obtain both the Authority to Exchange and also Authority to Complete contracts as part of the process. This means that you will need to have a gap in


between exchange and completion of at least ten working days – so it’s important that your legal representative and estate agent are aware of the HTB involvement, as they will need to manage expectations on how quickly exchange and completion can take place.
