CHAMBER NEWS Why you should enter our awards

The annual search to find, recognise and celebrate the region’s leading businesses – and the contribution they make across our thriving economy and communities – began in February. Here are just ten reasons why, as

a member, entering the Chamber Business Awards could make a big difference to your business.

1. It's open to all our members Whether you are start-up or a larger organisation, our awards are open to all our members.

2. You can tailor it to your business There are 13 categories to choose from and to consider which are the most suitable for your business or organisation.

3. It’s free There is no charge to enter any of the awards.

4. Raise your profile Award winners will be recognised at a gala awards dinner attended by Chamber Board, directors, local media and representatives from businesses across the region.

5. Boost morale Entering is a cost-effective way to thank your valued employees, suppliers and stakeholders for their efforts and accomplishments.

6. Exposure The awards and gala dinners will be promoted extensively across multiple communication channels.

7. Gain a competitive edge The awards are a great way to benchmark and celebrate achievements against competitors in your industry.

8. Network with the best Award entrants can network and meet with award sponsors, Chamber directors and employees as well as like-minded businesses at the various events arranged as part of the awards programme.

9. It’s a benchmark of excellence Chamber award finalists and winners can promote their success using a dedicated logo to maximise awareness.

10. Gain national recognition Selected award category winners will be put forward for inclusion in the national British Chambers of Commerce Awards, so you could achieve national recognition for your achievements too.

Award nominations are only open to Chamber members. The deadline for entries is midnight on Friday 15 May. For further details and to download county-specific application forms visit www.emc-dnl.co.uk/businessawards. The Chamber will host gala dinners in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and

Leicestershire in the autumn at which the awards will be presented. Winners of specific awards from each county will then go forward to the BCC regional awards for a chance to compete for a national accolade.
