Venue The Globe

The former Globe Hotel has opened as a luxury five star guest house but also event space/ whole house let. Built in 1904 the Globe, a grade 2

“castellated mansion” was the big village pub back in the sixties, seventies, but more recently had been used for holiday lets and become run-down. Then Sally Dickerson bought and

restored it to its current 5 star “early art deco with modern comforts” state. Slate floor, coastal colours, clean lines and quality furniture and fittings all combine to create a special venue in a special place – Angle. Angle is an ancient village with many other listed buildings, from the church and sailors chapel to medieval dovecotes to wartime defences. The house and gardens can hold

wedding parties, or other events for up to 120 people, using marquees and outside areas and street vans, buffet food options, or 50 for an indoor event only. With luxury large reception rooms, staff who can cater for the event, or work with other suppliers, a free experienced

event planner and maître d, the Globe team can work with you to make your event relaxing and successful, in the beauty that is Angle Village. There’s luxury accommodation too for the near family and wedding attendants to stay, then having a “mansion” for the weekend, before and after the big event with our staff seeing to all your needs.
