expect. Finally two weeks before the big day I meet up again to finalise everything.

And do couples now prefer to have more traditional images or ones that are candid and fun? It is important to have a mixture of informal traditional and fun candid photographs. You have such a wide age range attending weddings that catering for everyone gives a variety of different images.

What advice would you give couples looking to book a photographer? I would definitely advise you to budget and seek a professional photographer who you feel comfortable with. Preferably, you should ask to see their work and discuss your particular style. There are some great photographers out there and you would look to pay anything from £995, for a lifetime of priceless memories. A great tip is make sure also that you understand what’s included in your package, as it could be costly in the long run. I would also advise couples that if you are fortunate enough to be asked to appear in this wedding planner, then find the time to complete the questionnaire the paper sends to you. Seeing your story in print is a great keepsake and great for your family and friends to look back on in future.

What’s the most memorable wedding you have photographed? How could I choose? I will always remember my very first wedding with fond memories and over the years I have met so many amazing couples with fantastic families. Each wedding is different in its own right - you might have a bride who knows exactly what they want, then again, you might have one who is camera shy and amazes you on the day because they photograph really well. Perhaps there are a few that stand out, such as an unexpected gun salute, a pair of Llamas in attendance, a snow scene or letting off balloons on a busy beach, a firework display lighting up the night sky, images taken in beautiful castles and parks, even some arrive in different transport. Each one you can see the hard work that has gone into preparing their wedding day. I have so many wonderful memorable memories that it’s been a pleasure to capture everyone’s special days.

Which part of your job gives you most satisfaction? I am a humble type of photographer who feels that hard work and determination has got me where I am today in my career along with the wonderful people I get to

meet so my job satisfaction comes from word of mouth and the moment I hand over the wedding album package and see the emotion on the couple’s faces. When they smile and are teary eyed looking intensely at every image, reliving the day all over again, says to me all the hard work, the hours editing, has all paid off at that point. I’m fortunate to be able to do a job I love, the couples allowing me to be part of their special wedding day, they put their faith and trust into me to create memories for them to look back on in years to come. Another part of job satisfaction is seeing the wedding planner and my couples featuring their own stories in the Tenby Observer wedding planner.
