The event will also host an evening CPD drinks

reception for teachers - updating their knowledge of industry and an opportunity to hear from leading businesses.

You can make an impact • Increase your brand awareness and meet your corporate social responsibility objectives

• Showcase innovation and opportunities in your company

• The chance to drive diversity in STEM and inspire your future workforce

Would you like to be involved in the region’s largest STEM careers event and inspire 11,000 young people? The Big Bang Fair South West is the region’s

flagship event for inspiring young people into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). After the continued huge success of the Big Bang Fair South West 2019, the event is returning to Westpoint Arena, Exeter in 2020 for a two-day celebration of STEM. Now in its 11th year, CSW Group are excited to

welcome over 11,000 young people, teachers, parents and carers from across the South West on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June 2020 to experience interactive activities and demos with companies from the region and beyond. Engineering UK’s Brand Monitor Annual

Survey of more than 2,500 young people, 1,000 46 Chamber Profile Spring 2020

STEM secondary school teachers and 1,800 members of the public shows compelling evidence that STEM outreach can and does work: young people attending a STEM careers activity in the previous 12 months were over three times as likely to consider a career in engineering than those who had not. However, from the report we can also see that more can be done to raise understanding of STEM careers, with the proportions of young people reporting a high degree of knowledge for either science, technology and engineering relatively low.* The Big Bang South West will showcase the

strengths of our regional STEM labour market with a fantastic range of businesses who will not only inspire and raise aspirations of young people but also raise the knowledge and understanding of STEM careers.

Can you inspire and educate young people while having fun with a hands-on experience in a busy arena? The team want to hear from STEM related companies who want to connect with the next generation of engineers and scientists.
