Delicious dishes for summer at BILL’S RESTAURANT

RobynEllis reviews the indulgent new summermenuat Bill’s on Regent Street

Whether you’re looking for a cosy table for two or celebrating with friends and family,we highly recommendpaying a visit to Bill’s on Regent street. Set in a gorgeous Georgian building

right in the centre of town, among the hustle and bustle of several busy bars and restaurants, Bill’s has all the charm of an independent restaurant and is in the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before heading to the Everyman Theatre. Equally, it’s set up for thosewanting a more leisurely three-course meal, with several cosy areas where diners can sit, relax and watch theworld go by while enjoying sometruly great food.

Inside, the restaurant is fabulously

decorated with vibrant colours and vintage trinkets and has been set across two floors, with a pretty outside terrace for thosewhoprefer to dine al fresco. Unlikemany chain restaurants, Bill’smakes a point not to put tables too close together. Guests can enjoy the buzz of the venue without accidentally elbowing someoneon the next table as they eat. Bill’s prides itself on customer

service, “welcoming you as one of the family” fromthemoment youwalk through the door, andwe must agree that the service is second to none. Warm, friendly and personable, without being too over the top. The menu, a mix of indulgent

British classics and fresh plant-based 34 OCTOBER/NOVEMBER2019 THECHELTONIAN

alternatives, has something for everyone. The seasonalmenu includes locally sourced products wherever possible and, quite frankly, has somany delicious choices, it’s hard to pick! We recommendsampling the new

range of drinks and dishes that have been especially launched for summer. To start, give the crispy feta andwatermelon salad a try – you
