Grovemere Property, a family-owned local business, recently marked the 30th anniversary of its Lancaster Way Business Park, with a Forties style celebration in memory of the Second World War base on which it was built. The Business Park, at
the gateway to Witchford, currently hosts over 80 businesses occupying over one million square feet of accommodation and this is set to grow to double in size.
There are approximately
1,700 people employed on the park with some tenants having been based on the park for over 25 years. In the early 1960’s, Joseph Brand purchased the site from the MOD at auction and used it mainly for grain storage into the 1980’s. In 1989 Grovemere Property Limited was created under the guidance of the current Managing Director, David Brand and the Lancaster

Way Business Park has been growing ever since. The thirtieth birthday celebrations were a well- attended party in two halves. The first event was specifically for companies in buildings at Lancaster Way where key contacts enjoyed coffee, pastries and a catch- up at the newly constructed Apex Coffee House. The second event was for consultants, advisors, family and friends and was also held at the Apex. Nicola Tuck, Grovemere

In Brief PRE-LOVED SALES
The Stretham village Youth Centre on High Street is running its own Charity Shop. The shop will be open for bargain hunters from 12 – 5 pm on Friday November 1st and from 10 am to 2pm on Saturday November 2. All profits go towards the running of the Youth Centre.
