I f you fancy an
hour-long stroll this November, then we
suggest this loop around Little Downham.
We start this at Little
Downham Recreation Ground, writes Bethany Connor. There are plenty of car parking spaces besides the tennis courts and playing fi elds, but please be aware that the car park gate is locked at 8pm and re-opened at 8am the following day.

Just to the left-hand side of the car park entrance you’ll see a public footpath sign which directs you along the fence and tree line next to the play area. Walk all the way along the track, which soon turns to concrete and eventually leads out onto Park Lane. Take a right onto Park Lane, follow the road around to the left which takes you onto Tower Road. As you reach the top of the road, you’ll fi nd

along until you reach the Barn and there is a hidden road sign within conifers just on your right West Fen Road. Follow the drive all the way along until you reach Feoff ees Spinney, when you fi nd the sign take the left-hand grass track. There’s a bench and some

across and along Townsend. Continue straight all the way
