Witchford underlined its reputation as the singing village with a combined concert last month at The Maltings in Ely. The event featured a 60- plus Witchford Voices choir, who were joined on stage by choirs from Witchford’s Rackham Primary and the Witchford Village College. Remembrance Day Ceremony AT WITCHFORD VILLAGE COLLEGE
Witchford Village College will be holding its annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on Monday 11th November 2019 to pay respect to our Armed Forces, both past and present. The College would like to extend an invitation to any residents of our local community to join them for this short Ceremony.
The Ceremony will take place at the College in front of the fl agpoles and will commence at 10.50am. In the event of wet weather, the Ceremony will take place in the Main Hall. All visitors will be very welcome to stay for light refreshments.

Breakfast With Santa
n Former students from Witchford Village College are being asked to go back to the classroom to inspire current pupils to career confidence and academic success.
The students past and present from Witchford Village College in Manor Road, Witchford, have joined a programme run by the national education charity Future First which helps state schools and colleges develop ‘old school tie’ networks allowing them to harness the talents and experience of alumni to support

the current generation. The former students will return to volunteer at assemblies and workshops designed to motivate young people and broaden their jobs horizons so they are more likely to be able to achieve a career regardless of their background. Juliet Martin, Head of Careers

The Lions Club of Littleport boast many active volunteers in our villages. They are inviting families to Breakfast with Santa at The Almonry, High St, Ely, on December 21st, 22nd and 24. Tickets cost £3.50 Adults or £6.50 for children and includes a present for every child. There is a prompt 8am start for the event that is supported by Tesco, City Cycle Centre, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s of Ely. Early booking is advised.
