21st (Empress of India’s) Lancers Officer’s Sabretache c. 1898-1901, the black patent leather front complete with all gilt metal mounts comprising the first pattern Imperial crown crossed lances overlaid with two scrolls ‘XXI Lancers’ ‘Empress of India’s’ in the centre the double ‘VR’ cypher; complete with reverse pouch securing strap and the three D rings, the front crazed with two elements of the patent missing, the gilt ornaments very fine
