Lockyer's Middle School
It has been a particularly busy autumn term here at Lockyer’s Middle School.
It was wonderful to welcome so many parents and carers to our Macmillan Coffee Morning organised by
Friends of Lockyer’s. Some
amazing cakes were
donated and we
raised a brilliant £287.80. Year 5 parents also had the opportunity to look around their children’s classrooms and view their work.
We also welcomed staff and volunteers from the NSPCC who, together with their friendly mascot Buddy, delivered their ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’ programme to pupils in Years 5 and 6. Children were able to support the NSPCC by donating £1 each in return for wearing green non-school uniform.
We were very grateful for the kind donations to our Harvest collection for the Corfe Mullen Community Foodbank. Pupils competed between houses and congratulations went to members of Corfe house who fi lled their shopping trolley to the top! Thanks also go to the Corfe Mullen Co-op who very kindly loaned us their shopping trolleys.
